The Gesellschaft zur Förderung des Radsports mbH (GFR) was founded in 1961 and is traditionally the organiser of the cycling classic Eschborn-Frankfurt. Together with the French parent company ASO, it has also been the organiser of the new Deutschland Tour since 2018 and the BEMER Cyclassics Hamburg since 2024.
The German classic Eschborn-Frankfurt ist GFR's traditional race. Since 1962, it has been thrilling crowds of spectators every year on May 1st.. Every year, the day turns into a true cycling festival with professional and U23 races, the Škoda Velotour amateur race, the Süwag Energie Junior Cup, the kinder Joy of Moving mini tour and the Expo.
The Lidl Deutschland Tour is Germany's only stage race for the men's elite. Every year, thousands of fans come to the route to cheer on the riders of the WorldTeams and ProTeams or to take part in the Cycling Tour themlves. In addition, the many side events such as the "kinder Joy of Moving mini tour", the Ride Tour, the Newcomer Tour and the Expo Tour provide the best entertainment in every stage location.
